Barbora Bobuľová as an unexpected star of the festival: How is she doing?

Barbora Bobuľová achieved such a career abroad that she could only dream of in our circumstances. The representative of the curly princess from the fairy tale Immortal auntwhere as a nineteen-year-old she played alongside Filip Blažek (51), Jiřiny Bohdalová (93) and Jaromír Hanzlík (76), was now the decoration of the Italian film festival. There she presented her latest venture, a film Iddu (Sicilian Letters). It was in Italy that the charming Barbora found her second home.

She entered the world of film there almost three decades ago thanks to a casting… and the Italian directors immediately fell in love with her. A beautiful, talented girl from minor roles developed into a real star, improved her language skills, and even obtained Italian citizenship. For example, she starred alongside Gérard Depardieu (75) or Franco Nero (82), in the film about fashion designer Coco Chanel, she shared the main role with Hollywood star Shirley MacLaine (90).

Barbora, who by the way is the mother of two daughters, also collected a number of film awards for her acting performances, such as the Silver Ribbon or the Golden Globe. And now she’s appeared on the red carpet at the 81st Venice Film Festival – and she’s been rocking it in the spotlight. Whether with the delegation, when she wore a strapless red dress, or on her own, when she dazzled in a light blue, corseted dress, she proved to everyone that she is a real star with an international reputation…
