Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by a big margin and have one leg in the semis –

Bangladesh ‘A’ team won the second consecutive match in the Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament. They beat Afghanistan ‘A’ team by 8 wickets and 39 balls in Doha on Monday. In this, Bangladesh has advanced a lot on the way to the semi-finals.

Bowlers are the foundation of victory. Ripon Mondal and Rakibul Hasan bowled out the Afghans for just 78 runs in 18.4 overs. None other than Afghanistan captain Darwish Rasooli could stand. He scored 27 off 28 balls.

Besides, Ijaz Ahmed and Kayes Ahmed scored 12 runs from the bat. None of the rest could even touch the tenth house.

Ripon Mandal took 3 wickets for 10 runs and Rakibul took 3 wickets for just 7 runs. 2 wickets taken by SM Mehrab.

Chasing a small target of 79 runs, the two openers, the centurions of the previous match, Habibur Rahman Sohan and Jisan Alam, could not do much. Sohan scored 10 runs off 13 balls and Jisan played 16 balls.

However, after that Jawad Abrar and Mahidul Islam played after watching the drawing and gave victory to Bangladesh. Abrar remained unbeaten on 24 off 22 balls and Dakhon on 27 off 30 balls.
