Banda Ictios and Ivania Franshesca in Caldera

A day that celebrates the culture and historical spaces of the Atacama region, is what the “Music and Heritage” Project promises, it is an initiative directed by the musician Sergio Olivares Jr, which aims to open new spaces for music, culture and make visible the Heritage Buildings of the Atacama Region through popular music concerts.
This second version is financed by the Music Fund Call 2024, of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage, thanks to this this initiative includes the holding of five days of concerts that began in the month of May and will be replicated during June , October November and December.
“We hope it will be a beautiful and healthy day of music, that brings together the families of Calderón and thus brings to a good close the heritage month, where prominent regional artists will perform, such as the singer-songwriter Ivania Franshesca, as well as the renowned Calderino band Ictio. Without a doubt, it is very important for us to hold this concert in front of the Caldera Train Station, because it is a fundamental part of our regional history. Furthermore, we have not held concerts here before and it is necessary to open and publicize these heritage spaces of the region. Last year we did a day at the Copiapó station, so doing it now at the Caldera station connects us even more with history and our ancestors,” said Olivares.
Ivania Franshesca, one of the exponents who will be presented at the event, declared that “my expectation is to enjoy, it is the first time that I am considered in a public concert in Caldera, I am very happy to be considered in this space, to show my work, I’ve been there for 5 years now. I really like Caldera, the people, the friends I have there, I hope to have a good time and enjoy the music, I am loaded with a lot of attitude, I am going with great enthusiasm, on this path in music, I am perfecting myself and I am looking forward to it to show this process in my life. I also think it’s great to share with Ictios, since it creates a good experience with them.”
For his part, Enrique Marin of the Banda Ictios, considered that “for us, every opportunity to be with our audience, who open their hearts to new music, is a reason to give everything. On this occasion, it will be an almost winter afternoon near the sea, so you are cordially invited to give it your all too. We provide the music and our beloved audience, as always, accompanies us with their warmth and joy. With these two components, we make this Saturday an unforgettable party.”
