The surf, garage, twist and lo-fi rock n’ roll duo led by Marcela Velásquez (voice) and Perro (guitar), will be one of the main attractions at the Vendimia Palü ’24 to be held on Saturday, March 30 in Camping Ganímede (long weekend).
After almost a year of musical silence, the project returns to the road promoting its new single ‘Aleluya’ (popularized by Jeff Buckley, originally from Leonard Cohen) along with its extensive catalog of classics reversioned into Spanish (“Los Perros del Ritmo” 2013 , “Disarmed” 2018 and “La Vida es un Trompo” 2019, via AlgoRecords). Available on all streaming platforms.
Originally composed of Marcela (vocals), Luis “Lucho” Mariño (keyboards), Alejandro Gómez (Perrosky guitarist) and Albro (Álvaro Gómez, Perrosky drummer), the proposal rescues the catalog of Fats Domino, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis , Los Lobos, The Isley Brothers, Alan y sus Bates, Los Tigres, Hasil Adkins, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, among many others, with a unique and contagious energy that will not leave anyone without moving their feet.
40 minutes from Vicuña and located at 1,700 meters above sea level, the first version of the Palü ’24 Harvest will be held in Paihuano, El Colorado sector (Elqui Valley), whose Camping Ganímedes facilities have eco-shelter and room services, parking, showers, a water jar, a boutique bazaar and an exclusive beach for visitors to the event.
Throughout the day, a series of activities will be carried out, ranging from trekking services, astrotourism (closing the month of astronomy), horseback riding, apitherapy, theatre, acupuncture, massage therapy and restaurants, to the sale of organic products, food stands, craft beer, kombuchas, tastings, outdoor clothing, Diaguita crafts, permaculture, ancestral ceremony taught by “Las Ñañas”, face painting, and the Sunset Karaoke Palüsa at the “Rewe Ramada”.
Finally, the musical programming of the #VendimiaPalü Unplugged Semi Acústico will be in charge of Kancana Blues, Kako Leiva, Flor d’ Batu, Mabel González (presenting her new album/recipe book and the ‘Dragon Ball Cueca’), the rapper Anikyllah, the Elquino Retumba batucada collective and various other surprises.
The above is part of the launch activities of the NGO Ganímedes, whose first activation will be the family event Vendimia Palü (from Mapuzugun “paternal aunt”).
