Banco BAI distinguished for the 5th time Best Angolan Bank

Luanda-The African Investment Bank (BAI), he was distinguished for the 5th time In London as pEuromoney Excellence Award,Best Bank in Angola” in the week ending.

The continuous effort to improve products and services, institutional solidity and robustness, the constant search for innovation, firm support for the national business sector, families and the State are fundamental factors in the recognition and prestige of the largest Angolan financial institution.

Euromoney highlights that in 2017 BAI achieved a net result of AOA 55,000 million, having maintained its position as the largest Bank in Liquid Assets in Angola and achieved a Solvency Ratio of above 19% of the minimum required by law (10%) , becoming one of the largest banks in Sub-Saharan Africa, excluding South Africa.

Administered by the editors of Euromoney, the Best Bank Award recognized banks in more than 100 countries, across all regions in 20 global categories.

The evaluation committee received around 1,500 applications, having interviewed around 1,000 bankers, in an intense process that lasted four months. The awards gala held at the London Hilton, on Park Lane, was attended by around 700 bankers from around the world.

Founded in 1969 by Sir Patrick Sergent, Euromoney magazine is the most prestigious title of the London-based financial information company, Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC, and is the authoritative voice of the international capital markets. The publication has a very strong impact and broad coverage of the bond, share and foreign exchange markets, and is listed on the London Stock Exchange.

The largest commercial bank in Angola, and is present in Portugal and Cape Verde, is an important partner of the Angolan State, having been distinguished last week with a Golden Lion, in the 2018 edition of FILDA, in the Banking and Financial Services category.
