Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Qudous Bizenjo inaugurated a museum of antiquities full of 9,000-year-old civilization, where he expressed his displeasure over the ‘poor’ construction.
Balochistan is part of an important archaeological region where Mehrgarh is home to ancient civilizations, which is nine thousand years old. Apart from this, archeology is found in most areas of the province including Quetta.
A museum has been built on Sariab Road in Quetta to preserve these ancient assets and the artefacts found there. The construction of which was completed in 2010 but its inauguration was delayed.
On Wednesday, September 28, the official news was received in the evening that the Chief Minister of Balochistan will inaugurate Mehrgarh Museum.
Usually such places or institutions are inaugurated in daylight. But the current Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudous Bizenjo has introduced a new tradition that now the inauguration can be done even after evening.
Chief Minister Abdul Qudus Bizenjo inspected the antiquities kept in the hall after the inauguration. During this time he was told how ancient they are along with their growth and importance.
On this occasion, he expressed his indignation over the poor construction of the museum and directed that the defects in the construction of the project should be removed.
The halls of the museum are more but five were visited by the Chief Minister. In which small-sized pottery along with pots and jars etc. of ancient times were often kept. Some of which contain information about where they were found and how old they are.
Along with statues and fossils, ancient guns and pistols are kept in some of the halls. About which it was only written that they are local and ancient, but no further details were available.
Meanwhile, a bureaucrat also spoke about not giving these permits and details, while Provincial Minister of Communications Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran also directed his subordinates to give notice to the staff working for poor work.
Talking to the media after the inauguration, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudous Bizenjo said that nations protect their historical heritage.

Archaeologist Shakir Naseer told Independent Urdu that the artefacts kept in this museum include pottery and utensils recovered from archeological sites of Mehrgarh, Mir Kalat, Shahi Tamp and Nowshera.
It should be remembered that the archaeological excavation and search of Balochistan has been stopped for many years. Due to which these ancient relics are affected by weather conditions.
Along with this, groups that steal and sell antiquities from archeology are also active. Who steal them and sell them. Which later reach the global markets and are worth millions of dollars.
