The Petro de Luanda cycling team, BAI Sicasal Petro de Luanda, recently achieved, in the most recent update made by the International Cycling Union (UCI), 2nd position in the African ranking of the best teams with 125 points.
The biggest Angolan team in the sport, is in 2nd position, in a ranking led by Protouch, from South Africa, and followed by SKOL Adrien Cycling Academy, from Rwanda.
The great results achieved in the two biggest races in Africa at UCI 2.1 level, the TROPICAL AMISSA BONGO, in Gabon, and the TOUR OF Rwanda, are the basis of this oil classification.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the team’s participation in international competitions was suspended, including: the Torres Vedras International Grand Prix; The Volta Portugal; Tour of Burkina Faso and the Tour of Guinea Conakry, as well as the Tour Aragon, in Spain.
