BAI elected safest bank in Angola for the second time

Banco Angolano de Inventimentos (BAI), was named by Global Finance, the safest bank in Angola this year, the nomination resulted from an exclusive survey carried out at banking institutions in 110 countries around the world, the event took place in New York, United States United of America.

It is the second time in a row that the largest Angolan bank in terms of assets has received the distinction from the renowned American publication, the result of its performance in a process of evaluating long-term ratings in foreign currency and total assets.

The bank is included in the list of the thousand largest banks in the world, whose performances are regularly evaluated by Moody’s, Standard & Poor’s and Fitch, and it was based on the information provided by these agencies that the distinction was made.

Global Finance Editor and Editorial Director of Global Finance, Joseph D. Giarraputo, supported the appointment by saying that “business operations are more interconnected globally than ever, placing companies large and small in new markets.”

He added that Global Finance provides the list of the safest banks in the world to help corporate finance executives find the best partners to explore financial regimes in countries with the potential to do business.

Founded in November 1996, BAI has subsidiaries in Africa, Europe and several agencies spread across the country.
