The BAI Academy, in Luanda, reopens its annual cycle of cultural activities with the heading “The Book of My Life” which will feature “Frankestein” written by Mary Shelly and will be analyzed by the writer Fátima Fernandes.
The activity will take place on January 24th at 5:00 pm, in the multi-use space of the BAI Academy.
For this year 2019, the cultural program will be divided into 3 quarters and themes such as Romanticism – Horror, Investigative Journalism, Major Political Changes and Mysticism are the bets for 2019.
In this first quarter of the new year, the theme of Romanticism, in particular, Horror, with authors such as: Mary Shelly, Bram Stoker and Edgar Allan Poe, will help us understand why this literary movement is something new for the time in which that emerged, emphasizing emotion and exploring the darkest side of the human being.
Horror has always been a genre that has suffered prejudice and criticism, but its influence on art is undeniable. The authors challenged the conventions of writing and thought, exploring the darkest side of the human being, going beyond the known limits of human imagination and understanding, transporting us to dark, frightening, unknown territories, but of unique richness.
Over its six years of existence, the BAI Academy has been promoting various activities that embody its social responsibility side, but which are also learning spaces outside the context of the classroom.
The commitment to a diverse cultural program aims at the professional and intellectual growth of everyone who passes through there, contributing to the advancement of all citizens.
