The third part was still functional, but by the fourth, the franchise could no longer avoid its fate: with the film Bad Boys – Mindent or more, the bad boys’ adventures were officially exhausted.
At that time the I came to California Will Smith, who was quickly reformed after the sitcom Bad Boyssal) was an action comedy paired with Martin Lawrence, the first feature film directed by Michael Bay, who has since advanced to become the pope of action, made a huge splash – and deservedly so.
With one of the hottest cover songs of the nineties (indeed, cover songs, since Inner Circle Bad Boyswas heard in the film alongside a Shy Guy also by Diana King) soundtracked, action-packed and funny buddy cop movie successfully ran the A deadly weapon– movie recipes,
and was even able to add extra value.
The added value was primarily the play of the actors who played the two Miami drug cops, the likable dad, Marcus Burnett, and the no less likable girl-machine, Mike Lowrey, and the chemistry between them worked wonderfully (they reportedly improvised a lot on the set).
However, few people probably know that many of the jokes of the 20-year-old action comedy were written by the howling Seth Rogen.

Although the second part of the franchise was not so outstanding, the
“how old are you? you look thirty, cula” for a joke
(and for the whole scene) much could be forgiven him. And although it is one on the level of the story Bad Boys-the Spanish wax was not invented in the movie either, they always added something to the plot based on well-known schemes.
In the first part, this was the high concept based on the exchange of roles of the two cops with completely different characters, in the second, the deployment of Marcus’s sister (played by Gabrielle Union) stirred the threads, and fortunately, even decades later than the previous films, coming in 2020, it is no longer Michael Bay directed by Bad Boys: Bad Boys Foreverwith jokes about the aging of the protagonists and the quite direct, yet not awkward self-reflection.
It doesn’t get off to a bad start, but by the end, the long-promised third part runs out of steam, which is no wonder if we look at the combined age of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, which is roughly 105 years. Rough, huh?

A Bad Boys 3, in addition, we got such a striking twist at the end regarding Mike’s marital status, which ensured that the franchise, along with the previous ones, remained functional. In comparison, the fourth film written by the directors of the previous part, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, a Bad Boys – All or More clear proof that the adventures of the bad guys are officially tired.
A Bad Boys 4it’s a shame to even describe its story, it’s so clichéd (our heroes want to clarify the name of Captain Howard, who died in the previous episode, because a drug cartel and the traitors who served him framed him with false accusations from the ranks of the police), and this time there’s nothing extra in the plot to spice it up the story seen a thousand times, written at first sight by artificial intelligence.
The theme of aging was already there in the past, but here the creators couldn’t get more out of it (Mike’s agreement is not as big a hit as Marcus becoming a grandfather in the third episode), and the running joke about Marcus’s constant eating was so far-fetched that it was more forced than funny.
And the more awkward, preschool-level jokes just pile up, so much so that when you hear the “Mike’s penis-less, pacifier-sucking soul of Marcus” joke or the donkey analogy
we have the feeling that in addition to artificial intelligence, Móricka also got involved in screenwriting.
The new Bad Boyst is not saved by the newly introduced, otherwise very good actors, no matter how great a pleasure it is to see Rhea Seehorn in the Better Call Saulfrom, the underappreciated Welsh artist Ioan Gruffudd or, in recent years, stepping through his own shadow, most recently the Euphoriabrilliant Eric Dane.
It’s a joy in joy that, despite all its faults, the film works well in some parts. Although the opening scene is a déjà vu of the opening of the third part, there is a Bad Boys 4some inventive and/or brilliantly choreographed action scenes: the rampage of Marine Reggie watched on an industrial camera is the height of suspense, action fans will love the tense moments of the sequence taking place on the giga military helicopter, and there are also good moments of escape in the jungle.
However, all of this unfortunately does not save the entire film even together. THE Bad Boys – All or More unfortunately, it’s clear proof that what’s delayed doesn’t last, and no overdriven franchise can escape its fate. In addition, much to the pain of the fans
the iconic, titular insert is not heard properly even once in the film!
