On August 22, Bac Kan Provincial Police had official information about verifying and issuing motorbike license plate 97B1-999.99.

On August 21, the Director of Bac Kan Provincial Police Department directed the Investigation Police Department of Bac Kan City Police to investigate the incident.

Accordingly, license plate 97B1-999.99 was first registered on November 6, 2020. On December 10, 2020, the motorbike with license plate 97B1-999.99 was transferred to another owner in Bac Kan City.
On June 1, the Traffic Police Department of Bac Kan Province revoked the registration and license plate of motorbike BKS 97B1-999.99 at the request of the vehicle owner. The Bac Kan City Police Department registered and issued an identification plate to the vehicle owner on July 3.
“The process of carrying out procedures for registering motorbike with license plate 97B1-999.99 was carried out in accordance with the provisions of law on granting and revoking registration and license plates of motor vehicles,” Bac Kan Provincial Police affirmed.
Previously, Mr. Bui Xuan Huan posted a “cry for help” because he was having legal trouble related to a motorbike with license plate 97B1-999.99 purchased about a year ago.
According to Mr. Huan, the motorbike with the number plate of five 9s was bought from a man in Bac Kan on July 14, 2023 for 490 million VND. The money was transferred to the owner’s account, Mr. NTQ.
However, recently, when Mr. Huan contacted the old owner of the car to transfer the license plate with five 9s to another car, the old owner did not support and said: “Only sell cars, not license plates”At the same time, Mr. Huan also said that the license plate with five 9s has been registered by Mr. NTQ and attached to another Honda Dream motorbike.
Bui Xuan Huan said that at the time of buying the Honda SH with the license plate “VIP”, there were only documents attached. Huan Hoa Hong’s relatives tried to meet the old owner to resolve the matter but were refused.
