A unique baby with two faces, four legs and four arms was born in India, Liter.kz reports with reference to Daily Mail.

The newborn’s body was reportedly fused with other underdeveloped parts, which led to this unusual anomaly.

“A baby was born in a rural area of ​​India. The 38-year-old mother had an easy and uneventful delivery. However, since prenatal screening is almost non-existent in this rural area, the condition of the fetus was not known until after birth. Immediately after birth, doctors diagnosed the newborn with multiple congenital anomalies, including two faces, four legs and four arms,” the publication reports.

Unfortunately, despite the efforts of medical personnel, the child survived only five hours. The cause of his death has not yet been revealed, but is likely related to his serious condition and multiple abnormalities.

This rare medical condition is associated with a condition known as paradoxical development, where two fetuses are fused together early in pregnancy but one does not develop fully. This results in a baby with unusual physical characteristics and is often accompanied by serious medical problems.
