On Friday night, the president of the republic, Nayib Bukele, and the astronaut of Salvadoran origin, Frank Rubio, met, who in recent days has developed different educational, recreational and leadership activities in various areas of the country, as part of his agenda during his visit to Salvadoran soil.
The president shared a video on his X account in which he appears with the astronaut and the United States ambassador to the country, William Duncan, while they hold a pleasant meeting for the exchange of ideas and experiences.
During the short clip you hear how President Bukele thanks Rubio for his visit to the country, while he says he feels happy for the reception he has received and highlights that “the youth has been incredible, the talent is obvious.”

During his visit to El Salvador, Frank Rubio has participated in different activities organized by the United States Embassy, many of which are related to the educational field of Salvadoran minors. Likewise, he will hold conferences where he tells his experience about his trip to space and the tasks he performed there.
The astronaut of Salvadoran origin was aboard the International Space Station for 371 days, this period of time earned him the American record for longest continuous space flight.
