Bui Anh Tuan was a guest at Trung Quan’s music night on the evening of July 13. His performance was explosive in music and emotion, and had a surprising story.
On the evening of July 13, Trung Quan’s Live Concert 1689 took place at Phu Tho Stadium with about 7,000 spectators and many Vietnamese artists attending such as Mai Phuong Thuy, Minh Tu, Midu, Ai Phuong, Phuong My Chi… The program was divided into 4 chapters with a duration of nearly 3 and a half hours. Trung Quan showed off his powerful, clear and soaring voice with nearly 50 songs. His performances were well-rounded in both technique and emotion. The male singer put a lot of emotion into each verse, emotions that have become more and more abundant after many years of singing and experiencing the ups and downs of life.
Trung Quan opened the music night with the song And someday and the Love chapter. The male singer flew down from above with impressive holo fan wings, then performed a series of songs such as Tu tinh 2, Yeu yeu… Some completely new songs were introduced to the public for the first time by Trung Quan such as Yeu trong mua he. The first chapter is full of sweet levels of love, making the audience moved.
After the first chapter full of soaring, romantic feelings, Trung Quan takes the audience to the indispensable emotional levels in love, which are loss and brokenness. Chapter 2, Lost includes the mashup of Anh tu do nhung co don/ Tinh nao khong nhu tinh dau, Muon mang la tu luc or Buon khong the boi… A Trung Quan full of emotion and depth with sad songs has left the audience stunned by the myriad of emotions evoked.
The third chapter, Lust, is simply understood as “the fire of love” with the burning, intimate emotions of couples. The questions when drunk, Oh lover, True love… resonated deeply into the audience’s ultimate emotions. The stage was also transformed into a “hotel” called Lust, making the audience excited by the bold idea that Trung Quan and his crew conveyed. The final chapter, Luminous, was a chapter filled with brilliant light. Trung Quan turned Live Concert 1689 into a “flying” stage with a giant frame and suspended at a height of tens of meters. Trung Quan chose the last chapter to bring the biggest, most familiar hits as a spiritual gift to the audience: Release into the rain, June rain, Rain mark, Accidentally in love, Calling rain… The concert ended with the image of Trung Quan flying high in a giant butterfly wing.
The highlight of the music night that cannot be missed is the collaboration with the guests. The male singer had sublime performances when harmonizing with his seniors such as diva My Linh, Ho Quynh Huong, rapper Suboi or close friend Thuy Chi and Gen Z singer Myra Tran.
Even in the performance with Myra Tran, the two surprised the audience with a beautiful pole dance performance.
In particular, Bui Anh Tuan, Trung Quan’s “soul mate” is an interesting piece. The two “swapped hits” with Chua bao gio, Buong. This performance not only exploded in music with 2 powerful, emotional voices but also impressed with the idea. Accordingly, Trung Quan stepped out in a white vest, the bridesmaids and groomsmen to the background music Yes I Do/ I Do (Wedding) made the audience think that he had a romantic wedding with Bui Anh Tuan. But in the end, the bride was actually Thanh Thanh Huyen.
