ATU introduces new payment methods in transport

The Urban Transportation Authority for Lima and Callao (ATU) has revealed important changes in the payment methods of the Metropolitan and Line 1.

with the new Regulation of the Single Collection System (SRU)we seek to offer users more payment options within the Integrated Transport System (SIT).

New payment methods

The regulation establishes the incorporation of a Interoperable Transportation Card (TIT), open payments and QR codes for the Metropolitan, Line 1, the future Line 2 and other services. The main objective is to facilitate mandatory interoperability between different modes of transport, making the system more accessible to citizens.

The TIT will allow users to use a single card for several transportation lines, eliminating the need for multiple cards and tickets.
