At 59 percent, work of the Giro Independencia

The Giro Independencia project was 59 percent complete at the end of this week and will be completed between the end of October and the beginning of November.

The Municipality’s Public Works Department informs citizens on the progress of construction on a weekly basis, to keep them informed and because this is a project of relevance for mobility and connectivity in the northern sector of Torreón.

The director of Public Works, Juan Adolfo Von Bertrab Saracho, reported that the 134 units of girders that will be part of the work have already been completed, while of the 918 piles that will have to be placed in the viaduct, progress of 90 percent has been recorded. hundred.

In the case of reinforcing steel that will be used in a total of 1,120 tons, the applied progress is 89 percent.

In addition, excavations continue for the viaduct or underpass that will be located in the central part of the ring road, between the intersection of Villa Florida and El Campesino.

As reported, the construction of the Giro Independencia represents an investment of 254 million pesos, which are 100 percent municipal resources.
