Asus refreshes its ExpertBook B3 laptops with new Intel internals. Newly announced Core Ultra processors power the biggest of the new business laptops.
Asus announces at CES that it is revamping its ExpertBook B3 series. The manufacturer does not lag behind its competitors and also inserts new Intel Core Ultra processors, even if it is only a subseries that has the new chips. These devices are configurable with up to Intel Core Ultra 7 with integrated graphics capabilities.
Asus is launching three models: the ExpertBook B3404CVA and B3404CVF are 14-inch devices. The latter is available with a (slightly outdated) Nvidia RTX 2050 GPU. However, these two laptops are not equipped with Intel Core Ultra, but are equipped with older 13th generation Intel Core i chips.
The ExpertBook B3404CMA is the 16-inch model in the series. Asus provides new Core Ultra chips for this laptop, in both “U” and “H” variants. The graphic violence comes from the built-in Arc graphics. This 16-inch laptop has a numeric keypad.
Specifications
All ExpertBook B3s come with a 16:10 screen. You can always choose between FHD or WQHD resolution, with or without touch functionality. Asus opts for classic IPS technology. The devices are configurable with up to 32 GB of RAM and support the new WiFi 7 standard if they are equipped with the new processors. 4G LTE network is also available. Asus also provides USB Type-C with Thunderbolt 4.
Like all other laptops announced this time, Asus is banking on AI capabilities for productivity and collaboration. Here too you will find intelligent noise suppression during your video calls. For video calls, Asus gives you the choice between a 720p webcam, which we think is outdated, or an FHD camera with Windows Hello functionality. A physical cover is standard.

Asus had previously launched new Chromebooks with Intel Core Ultra on board. The ExpertBook B5 series will also be equipped with the latest Intel chips and 16:10 screens, Asus announced in December, although this does not apply to all models. As with the ExpertBook B3 line, Asus continues to rely partly on 13th-generation Intel Core i chips for the ExpertBook B5 devices.
