Aston Martin does not deny the possibility of Adrian Newey after possible visit

The future of the designer Adrian Newey has been an important topic during the Spanish Grand Prix after European media indicated that he made a secret visit to the facilities of Aston Martin in Silverstone, United Kingdom, in an attempt by the team to attract him.

Newey will leave Red Bull in the first part of 2025 after announcing that it would not renew its agreement with the Milton Keynes house. Mike Krack, head of the Aston Martin team, revealed in Sky Sports F1 that if people like Newey are linked to his project it is because of the bases that Lawrence Stroll, owner of the team, is offering with his partnership with Honda and Aramco.

“I think when you see how many names have been linked to our project lately and you see what the whole project is like, I think it’s a credit to Lawrence’s visions, to Honda to Aramco all the partners we have,” Krack told Sky Sports F1 .

“It will be interesting to see how this story continues, but I think it gives credibility to the project,” said Krack, who did not want to reveal more information.

The team manager pointed out that perhaps at another time no one would have believed in the possibility of attracting Newey, but now the situation is different, this despite the fact that the team is still looking for its first victory in this new era. “Now we feel very, very flattered by it. And I think it shows that the project is critical.”
