Astana police are “hunting” for nasvay and vapes

Since March, regular raids have been carried out in five districts of Astana to identify the illegal distribution and use of now banned vapes and nasvay, Liter.kz reports.

During this time, thousands of retail outlets were inspected throughout the capital, hundreds of cases of sale of non-smoking tobacco products were identified, including underground workshops for the production of nasvay, the official website of the city akimat reports.

Operational preventive measures are carried out by employees of district akimats together with employees of the local police service of the Astana Police Department.

Thus, during raids in the Nura district, preventive explanatory work was carried out on 227 stores, as a result of which 10 stores were fined 25 MCI

In the Baikonir district, 245 businesses were inspected, of which 9 points of sale were fined 25 MCI,

During events in the Yesil district, explanatory work was carried out with the owners of 212 small and medium-sized businesses about preventing the sale of non-smoking tobacco products, 25 points of sale were fined 25 MCI.

More than 200 objects were examined in the Almaty region. During the raids, 64 violations were revealed, including 42 facts of sale of non-smoking tobacco products (nasvay). The result is a fine.

According to the results of the event, in the Saryarka region, since the beginning of the raid, over 400 individual enterprises have been covered. More than 70 violations were identified and about 35 kg of nasvay were confiscated with a total fine of over 4 million tenge.

Let us remind you that 14 tons of nasvay were seized in Astana, the cost of which exceeds more than 70 million tenge. All confiscated products were destroyed. Also during the raids, a preventive conversation was held with owners of small and medium-sized businesses about preventing the sale of non-smoking tobacco products.
