“The statement does not reflect the position of the administrative judges that we support society’s just demand for a full investigation of the crime and attribution of responsibility”
They completely separate their position from what she stated against the European Prosecutor for the crime of Tempe, the president of the Association of Administrative Judges, Panagiotis Danias, two members of the Board of Directors of the Unionpointing out that his public position “does not serve the cause of the search for the truth, at a time when relatives of the victims denounce violations of the rule of law and cover-ups”.
As they underline “this statementderogatory for the loss of the victims’ relatives, does not echo the position of the administrative judges, who support the fair demand of the Greek society for a complete clarification of the crime and performance of all resulting responsibilities”.
They point out the following in detail, in a relevant statement: “The members of the Board of Directors of the Association of Administrative Judges Vasilis Faitas Msi Vanessa-Panagiota Dega we declare that the public position of the President of the Union Panagiotis Danias against the European Prosecutor Laura Kovesi, regarding the investigation of the causes of the train accident in Tempe, it does not serve the cause of the search for the truth, at a time when the relatives of the victims denounce violations of the rule of law and cover-ups. This statement, disparaging the loss of the relatives of the victims, does not echo the position of the administrative judges, who support the fair demand of the Greek society for the complete elimination of the crime and the performance of all the resulting responsibilities.
Vassilis Faitas, Appellant DD
Vanessa-Panagiota Dega, President of Primary DD”.
It is noted that a few days ago the president of the Association of Administrative Judges, Panagiotis Daniasin his post he had commented – expressing his personal opinion, as he said – on the intervention of Laura Kovesin – who asked to change the law on the responsibility of ministers so that justice could be done – with him calling on the prosecutor to do “her job quietly and methodically’ and to state that it ‘far exceeds its powers’.
His post in detail
I think that the European Prosecutor goes far beyond her powers, when she tells us that we have to change the Ministerial Liability Act (!!), or even the Constitution (!!!), so that she can supposedly make the investigation unhindered her. Therefore, I would recommend her to do her work quietly and methodically, as REAL Judges and Prosecutors do in the Member States, without loud statements that insult the institutional autonomy of the EU Member States. and make it part of the problem, instead of the solution.
And, of course, the immunity of Ministers does not prevent her from requesting documents (the most important), testimonies from members of Administrations, etc., and information from any source that is useful for her work. And her job is not to give interviews to the media and talk about the “trauma” of the victims’ relatives (undoubtedly existing, but indifferent to the search for truth).
And if, indeed, he finds obstacles to this project from Ministers, to name them and send it to the (Greek) Parliament, which is the only one competent to deal with it. Unless her purpose is to participate in the European elections, like the Belgian investigator of the case of Mrs. Kaili. I clarify that this is my personal opinion and not that of the Association of Administrative Judges.
