Assamese pop rock band releases its first single ‘Firishta’

Mumbai : Pop rock band Seasons have released their latest original single, “Angel”. Released on April 11, 2024, the track showcases the band’s signature blend of infectious rhythms, soul-stirring melodies, and heart-touching lyrics.

Formed in 2015 during the college days of founding members Dhritiman (lead vocalist) and Tirthankar (backing vocalist/lead guitarist), Seasons has emerged as a powerful voice in the Indian music scene. With Sanidhya on keyboards, Tara on drums and Abhishek on bass, the new release “Farishta”, mixed and mastered by Sameer at Rhythm Solutions, strikes a poignant chord with a celebration of love.

“Farishta” is more than just a song; It is a love letter to the guiding light that helps us navigate life’s darkest tunnels. Dhritiman described it as a tribute to those who, like angels, bring light and solace at times when we need it most. This song will appeal to anyone who has experienced the warmth of unconditional love.

“The story behind each of our songs is quite unique,” ​​says Dhritiman. “While our previous release, ‘Teri Nazar’ represents the refreshing sound of an early spring morning, ‘Farishta’ represents the sound of late spring/summer. Symbolizes the beginning. It’s a song that can be interpreted in many ways, but at its core, it is about love in all its forms.

Tirthankar says, “Farishta’ is a song that presents the essence of love and hope. Musically, it is a seamless blend of styles, incorporating elements of pop, rock, acoustic and the modern electronic soundscape.”

Apart from their latest releases, Seasons has won the hearts of the audience with past hits like “Kaise Kahoon,” “Waqt,” “All Day All Night,” and “Jolisay Jolibo.” His love for different types of music inspired Seasons to create “Bandhu Ray” by combining Bengali and Assamese folk styles. The song brought him global recognition after being featured in the documentary “Noor Islam” and shown at top film festivals. Seasons then worked with popular singer Prakash Jaiswal for the song “Naam Hi”, which blended their talents and showcased their ability to mix different musical styles.
