ASN Transfer Scenario to IKN Revealed, Employee Names Already Prepared

JAKARTA – Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform ( Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform ) said that he had mapped out the scenario for transferring state civil servants ( ASN ) to the capital city of the archipelago or IKN . KemenpanRB said the mapping also includes which Ministries and Institutions (K/L) are prioritized, along with the names of ASN who are prioritized to work in the IKN.

Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, Abdullah Azwar Anas, said that the mapping of the ASN transfer scenario had been carried out for a long time, the result of coordination with the Secretaries General of Ministries and existing State Institutions.

“So we have mapped out the ASN transfer scenario, including all Ministries/Institutions. Who will be echelon I, who will be echelon II, the names are already there. We have been mapping this for quite a long time with the Secretaries General of Ministries/Institutions,” explained Azwar after the 2024 ASN Talent Fest event, Tuesday (27/8/2024).

Furthermore, Azwar revealed, regarding the number of Ministries/State Institutions that will move first to the IKN, it will be adjusted to the readiness of the place provided by the IKN Authority (OIKN) and the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR).

“Yesterday the President also advised, don’t rush until the infrastructure in the IKN is ready,” continued Azwar.

Adding to Azwar’s statement, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said that the readiness to move ASN employees to the IKN continues to be coordinated with KemenpanRB. He revealed that there are already four Coordinating Ministry offices that are being prepared.

“Right now, there (IKN) is being prepared not only for housing, but offices must also be prepared. There are four Coordinating Ministries there, each Coordinating Ministry has four towers to oversee the existing ministries,” explained Basuki.

He continued, each Coordinating Ministry that has four towers is intended to have a joint office with other Ministries, or what is known as a sharing office.
