The Art and Culture Foundation will hold an international conference on Arts on the 18th of this month in Luanda, in the cultural space of Elinga Teatro.
According to Foundation Spokesperson Camilo Lemos, he declared this Tuesday, to Notícias de Angola, the event expects to have the participation of more than 100 people, including professionals and arts students and beyond.
He explained that the initiative takes place within the scope of the “Ponte de Arte” project, from the Art and Culture Foundation and aims to create opportunities for arts students from universities in those countries to create defense themes at the end of the course related to the Angolan artistic-cultural reality and vice versa.
He stated on the other hand, the project also aims to create a connection between national and international art professionals, in order to take better advantage of the artistic and cultural potential between the countries and identify opportunities for the internationalization of Angolan visual artists, ensuring the valorization of Angolan arts and their makers.
He made it known that “Ponte de Arte” is a new project by the Art and Culture Foundation that deals with the exchange of plastic arts teachers assigned to foreign universities with ISART counterparts and Angolan visual artists. It aims to encourage students from other universities to choose Angola as a point of search for a topic for their final coursework. It also aims to promote Angolan artists and artistic-cultural potential.
The Foundation has the support of its strategic partners, Grupo Siccal (Andrades), OnTime, Luanda Medical Center, Focus Education, Ministry of Culture-Bienal de Luanda and others.
The Art and Culture Foundation is an integral part of the Menomadin Foundation.
