The Art and Culture Foundation was established at the end of last week, the production and teaching hub of Dikanza in Angola, with the symbolic handover of Dikanzas made by the Vice-Governor of Luanda for the Political, Social and Economic sector, Dionísio da Fonseca, at the Wyza space, at the Fundação Arte e Cultura, on the Island of Luanda.
According to the provincial director of Culture, Manuel Gonçalves, the Island is a tourist space and the Foundation’s choice will allow even tourists to come to the Foundation to learn how to play the Dikanza.
Dionísio da Fonseca, officially delivered the dikanzas and ensured the transfer of experience from the Foundation and Cazenga is the priority for the implementation of this project.
“The Art and Culture Foundation is carrying out a training project here and we came to visit it because we realized that experiences can be learned here that we can transfer to other locations, some urban districts in our province.”, said Dionísio da Fonseca.
For her part, the Foundation’s General Director, Naama Margalit, highlighted the importance of people and managers visiting the Foundation.
He stated that it is not possible to understand the various social work and education through the arts developed at the foundation and the things that children do without visiting the foundation.
“We understand that the more children start training in the arts at a young age, they will have the opportunity to develop their minds and be more creative”, said the manager.
