Arshad Nadeem said on Thursday that he was preparing to participate and win the Asian Athletics Championship.
In a video message on Instagram Stores, he said, “I am competing tomorrow (South) in Korea at 6:30 pm in Pakistan at 15 minutes.”
This is his first tournament after last year’s Olympics, he said. He said: ‘Please pray for me so that I can qualify for the final.’
According to the 26th Asian Athletics Championship website, Arshad Nadeem threw a throw of 86.34 meters and made it to the final, while another Pakistani player, Mohammad Yasser, threw 76.07 meters.
The final of the championship will be on May 31 at 10pm Pakistani time, according to Pakistani time.
Arshad Nadeem set a new Olympic record with a 92.97 -meter throw in the men’s jewelry throw in Paris in Paris last year and received a gold medal.
It was the longest jewelry throw in the world so far. Arshad also threw his last throw more than 90 meters away.
He will soon leave for England to prepare for the World Athletics Championship held in September.
