RAB-14 has arrested two main accused in the murder case of Asad Ullah alias Nidu Kazi (49) in Jamalpur’s Islampur. They were arrested from Nalka area of Motherganj on Tuesday (June 18) morning.
The arrested are – Kabir Hasan alias China (41) and Md. Ziaul Mondal Zia (45). The deceased Nidu Kazi is the son of deceased Abul Kashem Kazi of Brahmottar village of the same upazila.

The RAB official said that the accused had a conflict with the family of the deceased for a long time. Asad Ullah and his cousin Abdul Alim Kazi (35) were going to Mahmudpur market on Monday afternoon. At that time, Kabir Hasan and his brother Md. when the girl reached the street of the Dakhil Madrasa on the west side of Zayda Mor in Tartapara area. Ziaul Mandal and many others blocked their way and launched an ambush.
Later, locals rescued Asad Ullah and admitted him to Jamalpur General Hospital in critical condition. Later the doctor declared Asad Ullah dead.
In this incident, the elder brother of the deceased on Monday night. Jamal Uddin Kazi filed a written complaint at the police station mentioning the names of 20 people as the plaintiff. 7-8 unidentified people are accused in this.
The RAB official also said that the arrested accused have already been handed over to the investigating officer of the concerned police station.
