The police have closed the road to Kirants (Tavush region of Armenia) and are not letting citizens (except community residents) into the village.
Publika.az “Sputnik Armenia” reported on this.
It is reported that Garnik Danielyan, the deputy of the Armenian parliament from the “Hayastan” faction, and Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, the primate of the Tavush diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, are at the scene. They don’t let them into the village either.
“I want to visit the villagers who were beaten and dragged on the ground this morning, on what basis do you not allow me to do this?” – Although Archbishop Galstanyan appealed to the police, he did not receive an answer.
Although the law enforcement agencies said that the road will be opened today, they did not specify the time.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Defense of Armenia is clearing mines from the area near Kirants village of Tavush district on Thursday.
Early in the morning, the police brought 31 protesters who objected to the agreement on border delimitation between Yerevan and Baku to the Tavush section. They were later released.
