“Hraparak” newspaper writes: “We wrote a few days ago that a new scandal is brewing: they decided to dismantle the Rusal-Armenal factory belonging to the Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska and move it to Russia. And the equipment can be used in the military industry, to establish a foil production. They even agreed with the railway to transport about 300 wagons of goods to Russia.

And this will cause great damage to the Armenian industry, which will never be able to create such a powerful production from scratch. And they decided to give the area to the developers, and even a consultation was held with them in order to study the demand. After learning about this transaction, the owner of “Tashir Group” Samvel Karapetyan tried to buy the factory, but the Russians refused.

We were informed that after our publication, the RA government began to deal with this issue, and Deputy Minister of Economy Narek Teryan, who was appointed to the position just a week ago, was sent to Moscow to negotiate with the management of “Rusal” so that the factory would not be dismantled. And it seems that they have convinced them to accept the offer of Samvel Karapetyan, who will definitely come out as a winner from the deal, becoming a producer of foil enjoying great demand in the world.

“Armenal” director Artur Zakaryan, who confirmed in our previous conversation that “Tashir Group” representatives came to the factory to “get acquainted with the production process”, said yesterday that he was not aware of the new processes. Deputy Minister of Economy N. Armen Yeganyan, the head of the department who went to Moscow with Teryan, confirmed that they went to Moscow.

“It is very important for the Armenian side that the factory works according to its profile.”
