RIA Novosti”.
“We perceive that decision as a reflection of a certain change in priorities in Buenos Aires after the current government came to power. No one in BRICS is dramatizing it. From our side, of course, we are not withdrawing Argentina’s invitation, it remains,” said Ryabkov.
After the BRICS summit held in Johannesburg in August 2023, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Argentina, Egypt and Ethiopia were formally invited to join the organization from January 1, 2024.
However, the new Argentine authorities later refused to join the organization.
