Since the introduction of the Apple Vision Pro augmented reality smart glasses, there has been a lot of speculation about when the Cupertino giant will put them on sale. He himself only mentioned the vague “early 2024”. The new year has already arrived and for a while it seemed that the glasses would go on sale between January and February. This, as it now turns out, was not far from the truth. Today Apple officially announced the start date of sales of its first Vision Pro augmented reality glasses.

“The era of spatial computing has arrived” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “Apple Vision Pro is the most advanced consumer electronics device ever created. Its revolutionary and magical user interface redefines how we connect, create and explore.” dodal Cook.
The Apple Vision Pro will be available starting Friday, February 2 in all US Apple Stores, as well as in the US online Apple Store mutation. According to the company, Vision Pro should connect digital content with the physical world and, through the VisionOS system, offer spatial experiences that can be controlled intuitively, that is, with the user’s eyes, hands and voice.
The new App Store will also give users access to over 1 million compatible apps across iOS and iPadOS, as well as new products that leverage Vision Pro. Pre-orders for the glasses will begin on Friday, January 19.

The Vision Pro glasses will be available with 256GB of storage priced at $3,499 (approximately CZK 95,000 including tax). The question also remains as to what availability will be in the rest of the world. The press release relating to the sale of the device says nothing about availability on global markets and it is therefore very likely that Apple, at least for now, will only offer its headphones in the United States. For the moment we will have to wait for information on when we will also see it in the old continent and what the European price of the Apple Vision Pro will be.
