Arab countries support Biden’s truce plan

Although both territories agreed to reach a truce, neither is entirely sure about the conditions.

The ministers of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, Qatar, Jordan, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia published a joint statement this recent Monday in which approve the truce proposal presented by the president Biden for the war between Israel and the terrorist group Hamas. The second phase would require an intense dialogue since the conditions that both territories will want to use are still unclear. The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has not seriously committed to the truce plan while discouragement and skepticism grow in the Gaza Strip. The spokesperson of Department of State, Matthew Miller, said at a press conference that a “Endless conflict in Gaza in search of some kind of total victory will not make Israel safer because it will exacerbate tensions in the occupied West Bank and on the border with Lebanon.

According to the spokesperson for US diplomacy, the Israeli Army has already managed to dismantle Hamas’s offensive capabilities, so that the terrorist group will not be able to repeat an attack against Israel that caused the war on October 7 of last year.
