Apart from Mimi-Nusrat, Mamata’s trust is in Dev-Rachna… – 2024-03-10 16:07:48

India’s Lok Sabha elections are approaching. Political parties have already started announcing their candidates. Trinamool Congress candidate list released on Sunday (March 10). Party leader Mamata Banerjee introduced the candidates in a colorful arrangement in a huge public meeting.

Two Tollywood actresses lost Mamata’s trust in this election. They are Mimi Chakraborty and Nusrat Jahan. Both of them had won the elections earlier. But they have been involved in controversy many times on various personal issues. Maybe that’s why ‘Bangla’ Didi could not trust them anymore.

But actor Dev (Deepak Adhikari) has kept his place. As always, he will contest the Lok Sabha elections from Ghatal constituency. Apart from this, actress-director Rachna Banerjee (Hooghly), actress Sayani Ghosh (Jadavpur), June Maliara (Medinipur) will contest for Mamtar.

Mimi is not staying in this election, it has already been hinted. The actress herself announced her retirement from politics a few days ago. He resigned and went to Mamata’s office. Then he said on his social handle, ‘I have entertained people from the acting world for most of my life. But for the past 5 years, as a Member of Parliament of the world’s largest democracy, I have done as much work as I could for the common man, using people’s tax money properly for development work. I have moved forward from the righteous path, thinking about that trip gives me a serious sense of complacency.’

However, nothing could be done about Nusrat Jahan. His omission came to the fore in Sunday’s (March 10) announcement. However, the actress has not given any response yet.

It may be noted that Nusrat won from Basirhat seat in 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Mimi became the Kandari of Jadavpur in the same event.
