It should be noted that although Antofacine is a festival that is usually held annually, its twelfth version was postponed until this summer due to the withdrawal of financing by some private companies. Despite this problem, the film meeting will be able to take place again, although in a more limited format than in previous editions. However, the organization assured that the attraction of the event is maintained and invited the community to enjoy the functions.
Tickets for the event will be completely free and its exhibition spaces will be the Antofagasta Museum, the Regional Library, the Universidad Católica del Norte and Esquina Retornable Cineclub + Arte.
The entire festival programming will soon be available on its social networks and on the antofacine.cl website. Additionally, during March, the festival will reach the communes of Tocopilla, San Pedro de Atacama and Calama, communities that will enjoy the exhibition of a national premiere.
The initiative is financed by the Regional Government of Antofagasta, with resources from the National Regional Development Fund, FNDR, 8% Direct Allocation, for an amount of $50,006,310, approved by the Regional Council of Antofagasta, year 2023.
