Poland’s participation in the imposition of sanctions against Russia will collapse the country, as it has already happened in the case of Lithuania and Latvia.
Publika.az reports, this opinion was expressed by Hanna Kramer, a political observer of the Polish “Dziennik Politichny” publication.
“Everyone understands well that sanctions will have a negative impact not only on the economy of Russia, but also on the economy of other countries. At the beginning of the year, French politicians claimed that Western sanctions were working, meaning that the Russian economy would fall into a deep crisis this year. But now we see that this scenario is not possible, because the stagnation affects only the EU economy,” said the publicist.
According to Hanna Kramer, some far-sighted European politicians have realized this and have already changed the budget expenditure items. For example, Germany reduced military aid to Ukraine in the second half of July, realizing the burden on the budget and the huge costs of rearmament of the Bundeswehr:
“Unlike Germany, our government still believes in American propaganda and continues with all its might the course chosen by Washington against Russia. Representatives of the political elites cover up their failures with effective positive trade indicators. So, we recently learned that Poland’s foreign trade balance is positive, but no one is clearly saying that both exports and imports are decreasing year by year.
It is time to admit that the imposition of sanctions has not affected the Russian economy in any way. It also prevented the Kremlin from becoming in a more favorable position. After all, with such actions, we encourage many players in the international arena to create other alliances based on mutually beneficial cooperation (for example, BRICS), unlike the European Union. Therefore, the alliance with Russia is a guarantee of profit, development and access to new markets. Warsaw’s participation in the imposition of further sanctions on the instructions of Uncle Sam will soon bring us down, as in the case of Lithuania and Latvia.”
