In the Austrian Open Hockey League (IceHL), Latvian forward Māris Bičevskis stood out with an assist tonight, contributing to the success of “Olimpija” Ljubljana with a 5:1 over the leading team of the tournament, “Fehervar”.
Bičevskis participated in scoring the team’s first goal, helping to open the match’s scoring. This helped the attacker finish the match with a positive utility factor of +1. Bičevski scored four consecutive games with productive actions.
Interestingly, Bičevskis scored 23 (7+16) points in 32 games this season – the same number of points he collected in the previous two seasons combined, playing in the Czech non-league (nine goals and 14 assists in 119 games ).
In the meantime, failure occurred Renard Krastenberg, whose representatives of Graz “99ers” lost to last season’s champions Salzburg “Red Bull” 1:2. The Latvian forward, who has accumulated 10 (7+3) points in 14 games this season, had three shots on goal and a negative efficiency of -1 in this game.
Also Arthur Kulda, who threatened the opponent’s goal three times, could not save his team from defeat: “Villach” lost 2:5 to the “Black Wings” from Linz. The experienced defender was on the pitch when the Linz team scored their fourth goal. Kulda has thus accumulated a negative utility factor of -1. Kuld has two goals and seven assists in 32 games this season.
