With this, 1,186 dengue patients are currently under treatment in various public and private hospitals of the country including Dhaka. On the other hand, one person died of dengue in the last 24 hours. In total, 39 people died of dengue this year.

According to the Department of Health, 16 of the 47 people who were hospitalized with dengue from Sunday (June 9) to Monday 8 am are residents of the Dhaka City Corporation area. Besides, 31 people have been infected outside Dhaka. Among them, 11 are the most in Barisal.
From January 1 to June 10 this year, a total of 3,003 people have been infected with dengue throughout the country. Among them, 1,39 people are residents of the City Corporation area of Dhaka. Meanwhile, 1,917 dengue patients have been discharged from the hospital.
In 2023, all the records of the country’s 24-year dengue history were broken. From January to December, 3 lakh 21 thousand 179 patients were admitted to different hospitals of the country due to dengue, and 1 thousand 705 died.
281 people died of dengue in 2022. In December, the last month of that year, 27 people died. At the same time, 62 thousand 382 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue in the year under discussion.
During the corona epidemic in 2020, dengue infection was not seen much, but in 2021, 28 thousand 429 people were infected with dengue throughout the country. In the same year, 105 people died due to dengue throughout the country.
According to the information of the Department of Health, 105 people died in 2021, seven in 2020 and 179 in 2019 due to dengue in the country.
