Armenia’s next hostile steps against our country in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) have once again demonstrated that this country is not interested in peace and dialogue.
Publika.az “Report” a pillar reports that on January 24, the delegation that worked the hardest to prevent the approval of the credentials of the Azerbaijani delegation at the PACE was the delegation led by the vice-speaker of the Armenian parliament and one of the key figures in the Armenia-Turkey normalization process, Ruben Rubinyan.
Rubinyan, who always talks about peace and dialogue, has proven with these ugly and insidious campaigns and steps that his calls for peace and dialogue in the region have no basis.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan became a full member of the Council of Europe and PACE in 2001. Yesterday, some European parliamentarians questioned the authority of the Azerbaijani delegation at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and made unimaginable accusations against our delegation. Taking this into account, the Azerbaijani delegation issued a broad and detailed statement at PACE. Against the background of the intolerable racism, Azeriphobia and Islamophobia in PACE, the Azerbaijani delegation decided to suspend cooperation with PACE and participation in the organization for an indefinite period.
The delegation left the venue after making the statement.
