To this end, the award was handed over by the general commissioner of Expo, Barber Bin Oma Al-Dafa, to the general commissioner of Angola for Expo 2023 Doha – Qatar, Albina Assis Africano, in the presence of the president of the International Bureau of Exhibitions (BIE ), Alain Berguer, and the organization’s general secretary, Dimitry Kerkentzes.
In an interview with the local press, Albina Assis Africano expressed gratitude for the distinction and said it was the result of hard teamwork, carried out with professionalism and care by the technicians present in the pavilion and the country in general.
“Our country’s mission is clear. It is, essentially, to strengthen cooperation relations and attract investors from countries with potential that interest Angola, something that, by their nature, international exhibitions provide,” he said.
During the ceremony, attended by more than four thousand people, including diplomats, businesspeople and other personalities, others were also awarded in different categories.
The President, Alain Berguer, and Secretary General Dimitry Kerkentzes, saw their effort of around six months pay off.
Angola inaugurated its pavilion at the International Horticultural Exhibition – Expo 2023 Doha on November 14, 2023 and celebrated its National Day on February 4.
