News from Angola – The senior men’s national football team beat the Comoros Islands team 2-1 this Friday and is in the final of the COSAFA Cup, which is taking place in South Africa.
The Palancas Negras’ goals were scored by Keliano (3′) and Depú (24′), while Ibrohim Youssef, from a penalty in the 83rd minute, reduced the deficit for the Comoros team.
In the other semi-final, the Namibian team eliminated Mozambique on penalties (2-4).
The final is scheduled for Sunday (7), at 4 pm.
Gil Vicente forward Depú is the competition’s top scorer, with four (4) goals scored.
It should be remembered that Angola won this competition on three occasions (1999, 2001 and 2004), while Namibia only won it once (2015).
Zambia is the holder of the trophy.
