Angola’s senior women’s handball team won its first victory in the Olympic handball tournament in the early hours of Saturday, after victory over the host team, Japan.
The “Pearls” beat the Japanese team 25-23, achieving their first victory after three consecutive defeats in the group stage of the tournament.
In this way, Angola opens up possibilities for a passage to the knockout stage, remaining only dependent on itself in the last round of this stage of the competition.
Angola plays again, next Monday (2), this time, the decisive card against the Republic of Korea, which is also trying to progress to another stage.
