Dozens of years have passed and Andre Taulany, now known as a comedian, has revealed how much capital he spent during the 2009 South Tangerang regional elections.
“To be honest, I am open about it. I nominated it in 2009, at the time of the expansion of Tangerang Regency into a city. So there was no regional leader at that time and it was the first time it was held, ” Andre Taulany said on the Trans7 Promise Not Umbar program seen on Wednesday (1/3/2024).
Andre Taulany admitted to having poured in hundreds of millions of rupees in capital. It was money that he had taken from his own pocket.
“It’s not that I don’t have capital. I have capital. At that moment I ran out, about IDR 700 million,” he said.
“Your money. The sponsors are still there too, there’s no denying that it’s right,” admitted André Taulany.
IDR 700 million was used during the campaign. André Taulany still remembers very well the details of his expenses back then.
“When I spent IDR 700 million, I detailed it, made many attributes, props, billboards and repaired the roads in several places,” the former Stinky singer said.
Andre Taulany’s action amazed Kiky Saputri as host. Not sure if he will be elected, André Taulany already wants to spend money on improving infrastructure, such as roads.
“It’s me. As soon as I can’t do it, I’ll mess up the road again,” he joked.
“No, don’t do that,” ordered André Taulany at the end of the broadcast.
