With eight days to go until the end of the winter transfer window, we are still waiting for our first signing for Anderlecht. The search for an additional central defender continues, but it seems to prove difficult. Filip Helander proved to be too expensive, while the aforementioned Achraf Dari will move to Spain, according to La Dernière Heure.
Anderlecht wants to make purchases in La Louvière
So there’s still some work to do in the next week for sports CEO Jesper Fredberg, who now appears to be working on other areas too. Second Foot Market at Lotto Park, for example, they are thinking of a truly remarkable transfer.
They claim Anderlecht would show interest in Vicky Kiankaulua, a 22-year-old striker who plays for RAAL La Louvière. The Frenchman, who arrived in the summer from Guingamp, is not even a starter in the first national team. He has so far made six appearances as a starter and twelve appearances as a substitute, in which he has scored three goals.
Competition from Charleroi and Blackburn
Anderlecht have already been able to see Kiankaulua at work from the front row this season, as he was a starter when the whites visited Tivoli in the cup. It is possible that he came into the Anderlecht spotlight there.
However, this is by no means the only candidate for Kiankaulua, who is out of contract with La Louvière at the end of this season. Charleroi are also said to have their eyes on the winger, while La Louvière has even received an offer from Blackburn Rovers of the English championship.
