It’s no longer a secret that Sporting Anderlecht are looking for a new central defender. Looks like they’ve found it now.
Well-known transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, for example, reports that Anderlecht have made a formal offer for Filip Helander. The Swedish defender currently plays for Odense BK.
The player is still under contract with the Danish club until the summer. Helander only recently arrived from Rangers FC, where Philippe Clement is now manager. He also played for Hellas Verona and Bologna in Italy and for Malmö in Sweden.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the talks would take place in the following days. Anderlecht would finally find the central defender the club had been looking for for some time. Now it remains to be seen whether an agreement will be reached.
