JAKARTA – Anang Hermansyah has again caused a stir among the Indonesian public. This musician was appointed as the brand ambassador for Jeju Island in South Korea.

The news was uploaded to X’s social media account @tang__kira. The post shows video footage of Anang being named ambassador for one of the famous islands in South Korea.

“Anang Hermansyah was appointed as Public Relations Ambassador for Jeju Island,” wrote the account, Friday (21/6/2024).

According to The Star, the Jeju Provincial government on Friday (21/6/2024) officially appointed Anang Hermansyah as their ambassador. Anang was chosen in his capacity as an Indonesian influencer with 6.56 million subscribers on YouTube and 2.58 million followers on Facebook.

Anang’s appointment as an influencer from Indonesia was carried out to expand the reach of Jeju Island to the Southeast Asian tourism market. Later, Anang will create various content about halal restaurants in Jeju, traditional Jeju food, and so on.

Meanwhile, Governor Oh Young-hun met with Anang Hermansyah and his wife, Ashanty, and their family at the Jeju Provincial Government Office. During the meeting, Oh Young-hun handed over the ambassador’s appointment certificate and a commemorative gift to the celebrity.

As a celebrity in Indonesia, Anang Hermansyah has a big name and is known as one of the most famous musicians. Now it’s not just music, Anang is even active in the world of content and has a YouTube channel.
