Analamanga League: Season opening marked by unity and ambition

Official opening of the 2026 season of the Analamanga Football League

It was in an atmosphere of fervor and communion that the official opening ceremony of the 2026 season of the Analamanga Football League took place this Saturday. Under the presidency of Henintsoa Rakotoarimanana, better known as “Tota”, the League kicked off a new era for football in the Analamanga region. The day began with an ecumenical service celebrated at the FJKM Malaza Gileada, a solemn moment which brought together players, managers, supporters and officials around the values of respect, fair play and unity. From there, an impressive parade led all the participants to the CFFA Andoharanofotsy stadium, a strong symbol of the solidarity that drives Analamanga football. Many teams were present, representing all levels of the regional pyramid: clubs from the PFL, Ligue 1 and the different sections. This gathering highlighted the richness and diversity of football in the capital and its surroundings. Beyond the symbolism, the League wanted to mark the event with concrete actions. Several new balls were given to participating clubs, support particularly appreciated by teams with youth categories. The ceremony ended in apotheosis with a gala match between the Union of Sports Journalists of Madagascar (UJSM) and club leaders.

The Ligue 1 championship officially starts on December 20, 2025, with matches eagerly awaited by supporters. Furthermore, young people under 13 will soon be in the spotlight with the organization of the Grand Analamanga Tournament, the precise dates of which will be communicated in the coming days.
