The young Argentine woman, whose body was found in the sea, between Puerto Morelos and Playa del Carmen, died from asphyxiation due to submersion, determined the Attorney General’s Office of Quintana Roo (FGE) after undergoing examinations to find out the causes of her death.

In light of the first investigations, the FGE reported that after the legal autopsy was performed, the results ruled out any signs of violence or sexual abuse and established that the cause of death was asphyxiation due to submersion, according to the Directorate of Expert Services. .

“From the moment the incident became known, this social representation began an investigation folder, applying protocols with a gender perspective from the first moment,” said the institution, which until this afternoon announced the case, already revealed by the local press.

The FGE indicated that it maintains communication with the Consulate of Argentina, in order to provide support to the relatives of the deceased, who had resided in Mexico since December of last year and worked as an event photographer.
