An invisible campaign before the World Cup? Like Pokemon hunting!

Back then, years ago, there was such a mania around it that people walked down the street with their eyes glued to their mobile phones, looking for cartoon characters. Now the spectators in the host country have to hunt for Pokemon before the hockey championship.

According to experts, the promotion, for which the Czech association paid 55 million “ducks” to extra-league clubs alone, is not very visible. During the 2015 World Cup, drivers were already driving with the Czech flag on their mirrors!

“The torso of the campaign that is out there is a great shame. Uninteresting visuals, meaningless slogan, negligible media budget. The whole thing then gets into an incredible situation where we are hunting the World Cup campaign in Prague and Ostrava like pokemons. The campaign is supposed to find us, not us to find it.” announced Tomáš Janča on the X.com social network.

“Some marketing egomaniac might plaster the entire republic, but for us the effectiveness of the money spent is really very important,” said responsible organizer Martin Pešta for Marketing and Media.
