Fired following the publication of images of a “disturbing incident that occurred on the hotel premises”, star chef Aurélien Largeau denies this and says he is preparing his defence.

A preliminary investigation into sexual assault and violence at the Hôtel du Palais in Biarritz (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) was opened on Thursday 28 December by the Bayonne Prosecutor’s Office, France Bleu Pays Basque has learned. No complaint was filed, the Prosecutor’s Office took matters into its own hands. From the “Images” of a “regarding an incident that occurred on the hotel premises” ont “circulated” on social networks, indicates the American Hyatt group that manages the site. The starred chef Aurélien Largeau, fired on Thursday 21 December, for his part denies the existence of a “Humiliating hazing towards a kitchen assistant”.
The hotel group stated this in a press release “This incident does not reflect the values we all uphold, an investigation has been conducted and appropriate decisions have been made.” “I would like to formally deny the allegations made against me” replies Aurélien Largeau. “I condemn any form of mistreatment, hazing or humiliation within the brigades and more generally, and will never associate with such behaviour.” – he continues, specifying that he is preparing his defense with his lawyers for this purpose “stop the defamation”.
