An increase of 10.2 million euros to urban and intercity buses

THE AMOUNTS FOR THE JANENA

More than 10 million euros will be allocated for the modernization of infrastructure and the replacement of city and intercity KTEL buses throughout the country, according to a relevant decision signed by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Christos Staikouras and the competent Deputy Minister of Transport Christina Alexopoulou.

In particular, as provided for in the relevant decision, the total amount of 10,213,995.87 euros will concern:

*Infrastructure projects, (modernization of building facilities, configuration of the surrounding area, upgrade of passenger area, construction of a petrol station for private use, etc.) in the areas of Kozani, Patras and Andros, costing 485,111.87 euros.

*Installation of new automation systems in the Ioannina area, costing 16,837.50 euros.

*Replacement of Public Buses of KTEL S.A. in the areas of Thessaloniki, Ioannina, costing 189,924 euros.

*Replacement of Public Buses, owned by natural or legal persons, in the areas:

Argolida (464,664 euros), Arkadia (51,592 euros), Arta (54,937), Achaia (546,011 euros), Evros (752,208 euros), Evia (58,956 euros), Ilia (308,662 euros), Imathia (109,548 euros), Heraklion – Lasithi (2,441,326 euros), Thebes (8,500 euros), Ioannina (378,351 euros), Kavala (72,298.50 euros), Karditsa (101,734 euros), Corfu (266,016 euros), Kilkis (7,820 euros), Kozani (161,364 euros), Laconia (52,265 euros), Larissa (942,948 euros), Lefkada (9,180 euros), Magnesia (275,234 euros), Messinia (287,354 euros), Mykonos (76,920 euros), Xanthi (51,408 euros), Pella (108,120 euros), Pieria (65,538 euros) , Rodopi (49,531 euros), Serres (17,477 euros), Syros (55,080 euros), Fthiotida (141,597 euros), Halkidiki (321,434 euros) and Chania – Rethymnon (1,284,049 euros).

It is noted that the financing will be covered by the Public Investment Program.
