An hour after meeting SBY in Cikeas, Prabowo admits he doesn’t discuss politics

CIKEAS – President-elect Prabowo Subianto visited the residence of the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) at Puri Cikeas, Gunung Putri, Bogor Regency. Prabowo and SBY met for more than an hour if calculated from the time of arrival at 18.38 WIB.

Based on monitoring at the location, Prabowo Subianto’s motorcade started leaving the location at 19.57 WIB. The Ministry of Defense service vehicle, a white Toyota Alphard, was seen coming out at the front of the fence of SBY’s residence.

The former Danjen Kopassus was seen greeting the media crew by lowering his car window. With a smile, Prabowo also admitted that the meeting was only limited to an Eid al-Fitr gathering.

“Ha-ha-ha (visit for) Eid, yes, I came to the seniors,” said Prabowo to reporters, Friday (12/4/2024).

The man who serves as Minister of Defense also admitted that there was no political discussion at the meeting. He reiterated that his visit was only a friendly visit.

“Ha-ha-ha, just continue with politics, this is Eid,” said Prabowo.

When asked by media crew, Prabowo also did not answer which other national figures he would visit during this Eid al-Fitr moment.

The media crew even questioned the clarity of his meeting with the General Chair of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri but there was still no answer.

“That’s all right, thanks,” he concluded.
